"A simple knock can change everything."

For thousands of older adults in Kendall County, that knock on the door isn’t just a meal—it’s a lifeline. As Texas ranks second in the nation for older adults’ food insecurity, The Center stands firm in our commitment to serve, no matter what challenges arise.

More Than Just A Meal

In Texas, 1 in 6 older adults faces food insecurity, but the crisis extends beyond hunger. For some older adults in Kendall County, our Meals on Wheels volunteer may be the only person they’ll see all day.

Each visit provides:

  • A nutritious meal to nourish the body
  • A friendly face to uplift the spirit
  • A wellness check to ensure safety and well-being
