Empty Bowls Boerne 2023
Empty Bowls Boerne is back with big heARTs and hand-crafted bowls to support Meals on Wheels of Kendall County!
Join us Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11am-1pm. With the purchase of each hand-crafted bowl you will receive your choice of soup provided by local restaurants and a piece of bread. She is the proud mother of four daughters who helped hone her skill to motivate and inspire others. Katina is excited to bring her knowledge and skill set to The Center. She finds the challenge of catering and events exciting not only because she is serving our guests, but also because she is in turn serving our community.
As a life change Chef Phil found the hospitality industry while living abroad in SE Asia. Returning home to San Antonio after 6 years abroad, Phil sought to expand on his love of cooking and attended the Culinary Institute of America which was a fantastic happenstance. After graduating from the “CIA” Phil traveled back to SE Asia to help design and build a training restaurant for abandoned children through the “Cambodian Children's Trust”. Jaan Bai, the restaurant, a result of a fantastic team effort is still number one in Battambang, Cambodia. Upon returning to the States Phil worked at several new and developing restaurants in San Antonio acting as Kitchen Manager at Pharm Table, Chef d' Cuisine at BOTIKA at the Pearl, Owner of DUO Cuisine Mobile and Chef d' Cuisine/Assistant General Manager at Maverick Whiskey. Finding his new home at The Center Boerne, Chef Phil will expand on the existing programs and help develop a new catering and events program.
